CHALLENGE
The existing site was an operational BP petrol filling station with a single-story flat roof building and three fuel dispensers. Since it was a busy service station, there was limited space for redevelopment work, and the shop and forecourt had to remain open.
SOLUTION
Wyeth designed and managed this extension project. The team delivered a side extension to accommodate additional retail, Greggs areas, new Greggs Food To Go insert, an internal remodel and external fascia signage and decorations. A new foul water drainage solution was designed. Due to cold and wet weather conditions, the roof covering was changed from fiberglass to single-ply membrane.
RESULTS
Wyeth, a Sevan company, expedited operations and completed the program in seven weeks. The shop continued to operate throughout the development. Spar Retail merchandisers were able to commence merchandising one week earlier in time for the Christmas Trading Period.
