CHALLENGE
Giant Eagle needed to execute its Prepared Foods Reduction Program across 64 stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Indiana. The program aimed to enhance grab-and-go services by replacing antipasti, soup, and salad bars with self-contained multi-deck units and upgrading kitchen equipment such as fryers, rotisseries, and refrigerators.
SOLUTION
Under tight deadlines, Sevan took charge of the program by thoroughly understanding the scope for each store, organizing pre-construction meetings, conducting site visits, and overseeing punch walks. Our team divided the projects into regions, assigned dedicated project managers, and implemented a customized SmartSheet tracker to streamline the process. Sevan also coordinated with five general contractors to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
RESULTS
Within six months, Sevan successfully managed the Prepared Foods Reduction Program, ensuring standardization and timely execution. Our team efficiently addressed all punch list items, overcoming challenges across different regions and achieving the program’s goals.
