CHALLENGE
BP policy states that every five years, sites must go through a structural inspection. The site inspections generally consist of survey work for the canopies that cover the fuel stations. Canopy surveys for fuel stations required highly trained staff who must follow strict regulations and adhere to safety standards while conducting each survey.
SOLUTION
Sevan partnered with BP programme managers to develop a custom Smartsheet dashboard that shows crucial canopy information across all BP sites along with a site prioritization breakdown with recommended actions. Sevan has also worked with BP to create a safer canopy inspection process, drastically reducing the amount of survey-related safety incidents.
RESULTS
Sevan’s surveyors have found many structural issues that would have led to canopy collapses had they not been inspected properly. Our expertise, prioritization of safety and attention to detail has helped us strengthen our partnership with BP, leading to additional work performing high-rise signage and whole site surveys.
